Samsung Galaxy AI was showcased by Samsung in the recent unpacked event highlighting it at forefront during Galaxy S24 series launch. The new Galaxy S24 series has got tons of useful and mind-boggling AI features. Even better is that these AI features are also coming in older galaxy devices. Those who were using older galaxy devices and were thinking of upgrading to S24 series only because of AI may not be the right idea to do as Galaxy AI coming to older galaxy devices as well later to this year via software update.
The new Galaxy S24 series comes with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 right out of the box. This update will also be rolled out to other Galaxy devices, but only a few will receive the complete suite of AI features. However, it’s essential to note that not all the features available on the Galaxy S24 series will be accessible on these older devices.

Samsung Galaxy AI Eligible Smartphones List
Samsung is planning to give AI features on the previous generation flagships such as Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, and even on the budget flagship Galaxy S23 FE via the One UI 6.1 update. In addition to the S series, AI is also coming to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Samsung will also push this update to the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, and More.
According to Samsung’s official website for India, Galaxy AI will be available starting from the Galaxy S22 series, including the Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4, as well as the Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra. However, the US Samsung website indicates that Galaxy AI will only be available starting with the Galaxy S23 series and will not include the Galaxy Fold 4, Flip 4, or the Galaxy Tab S8 series. It seems the rollout of Galaxy AI may differ by region, with various devices receiving the update based on local market strategies.
